Making edits in map maker means you can actually change Google Maps. If people search for your school through google maps you can provide them with accurate information at their first stop, on their phone or wherever they are.
This includes step by step instructions for a few techniques I use to create accurate overlays in Map Maker to use for reference when your satellite imagery in Google Maps is outdated. This was a huge issue on my campus initially but our satellite imagery is up to date now.
