About

I started this blog with no particular direction or ideas. It is mostly just whatever I’m thinking about when I happen to sit in front of the computer. Over the last year it’s become heavily focused on my bike commuting efforts and maybe it will continue to focus on that a lot or maybe in a few months I’ll find myself writing endless posts about centipedes. Who knows. Because of the heavy focus on bicycling I renamed the blog “That Which Rolls” in honor of Alfred Jarry, a pioneer in the field of absurdity and an early bicycling enthusiast.

I live in/near the Finger Lakes region in a house that I share with my partner, my parents, and two cats on a farm that we share with my grandparents, two sets of aunts and uncles, 13 Belted Galloways, and two foster horses.
