It's a Major Award! I won it!
I didn’t win a leg lamp.
BUT…
I did win some Keo 2 Max Pedals in the le Tour Challenge contest at MapMyRide, which is pretty awesome.
They seem a little out of my league really, I mean they’re apparently Aberto Contador’s pedals of choice. Alas, I do not have cycling shoes though and I have no idea whether all pedals fit all cycling shoes or what. So I guess I have either some research to do or some looking like an idiot in the bike shop coming up.
Just last week Brian was trying to convince me that I should try riding with clip in pedals (or whatever they’re called.) Yeah I ride my bike a lot but I don’t know what I’m doing. I know they’re more efficient, and if I want to ride farther I need to go faster and conserve energy, but I also know that I will probably flop over on my face at every third stop sign.
But I will try it. What is winning a set of really expensive pedals if not a sign.
Oh also I have won six jerseys (I think) for being the top female fundraiser so far. I’m starting to feel guilty about that. I need to raise some more funds so I feel worthy of these fine awards.
